PALM TREE COMFORTERS

Blast! All the palm tree comforters got scooped up in the collection I had been watching all summer. When I find a bedding set with palm trees on it that I like, I like to pick it up even if it gets stuck in the armoire or my overflowing storage trunk until I need it for a room that I’m working on. And if you think that I’m a crazy chick who has a huge pile of bedding stuck back threatening to create an avalanche every time the linen closet is opened, you would be wrong! Rarely do I have an inventory of over two sets because it’s practically impossible to decorate a tropical bedroom without using at the very least some accent pillows from my stockpile.

At the moment, I have a set of shams and some matching valances. While I was waiting for the bedding set to go on sale, somebody grabbed the comforter that I needed to go with them. They were not from the same set, but there are times when mixing and matching the various pieces (so long as the colors and styles are similar) is much more attractive than using perfectly coordinated pieces from a bed in a bag.

So, I’m off to my favorite discount bedding store at the outlet mall to see if I can rack up a few tropical design comforters for my stash because in the decorating world, palm trees are a staple item. LIME GREEN and TURQUOISE BLUE BEDDING

I was in search of decorations for a tropical bedroom when this lime green and turquoise bedding set nearly made me drop my purse. It had all of the colors of the Lilly Pulitzer Via Roma collection (minus the palm trees) that I had planned to use plus some hot pink and orange that pulled me in.

It so appealing that pushed the mental picture I had formed of this project's ultimate design right out the window. But the broader range of colors, neither the modern look nor the cheap price of the bed in a bag was what prompted the swarm of decorating ideas that had this comforter set as the centerpiece churning in my mind; it was that mod, lime green headboard.

The pictures of the headboard shown with the cute, lime green and turquoise blue bedding set could be improved. I couldn’t help but think that if the wood used was thicker or if two layers of pressed board where used to make the openings more boxy then you would have both display and storage capabilities. Actually, it would probably be the most modern, bookcase headboard around and think of how plain, black books would stand out against the bright lime green paint.

If your "do it yourself" carpentry skills (like mine) fall short of making your own headboard for your teenage girl’s bedroom; I got a few ideas for getting done without risking losing a finger on a saw, on this page. I’m not too crazy about the skinny slatted headboard. I’m not even sure that painting it neon green to match the lime green and turquoise blue bedding set would save this design. Instead, I thought that it might be a good idea to pick up some wall shelves in different sizes, scuff them up, paint them lime green and hang them over the bed to use as a headboard. The lady I’m working for right now already has a headboard she’s using and she might reject anything I come up with besides a set of Lilly Pulitzer bedding but I just wanted to run that idea by my reader so they could give me some feedback before I give it a try. GIRLS' TROPICAL BEDDING

I am more than pleased to see girls tropical bedding sets that are designed according to the popular color combinations of the moment, black and pink and lime green, hot pink and black. The colors green and pink are old standbys and certainly to be expected to represent the leafy green foliage in a tropical rainforest and hot pink to cover the hibiscus flowers that grow wild in so many jungles.

Without a doubt, the new kid on the block in this color scheme is black. Even though many may argue that black is not a color at all; when you surround it with white and the other bright colors that I mentioned earlier who could ever accuse it of not playing an important part in this stylish mix?

And when it comes to being a leader in outstanding girls tropical bedding, Roxy Bedding
is out there leading the pack churning out tropical bedding sets that are a delightful blend of uninhibited Hawaiian floral and collegiate stripe prints. Their designers do such a wonderful job of matching fabrics with large flowers, medium floral prints, stripes and solids. GIRLS HAWAIIAN BEDDING SETS

Teenage girls Hawaiian bedding sets and bedroom decorations have come a long way from comforters covered in tropical hibiscus flowers and hula girls in grass skirts. Please don’t take that statement to imply that that particular style of Hawaiian bedroom decor is not fashionable; there is always a place for vintage hula girls when decorating a bedroom in an island theme.

In fact, some of the more trendy Hawaiian print bedding sets gives more than a casual nod to hula girls, their floral leis and most of all, their grass hula skirts.
Modern Hawaiian bed in a bag sets are known to be the least expensive way to dress up a girl’s bed with a comforter that brings to mind memories of a day spent on one of the island’s many secluded beaches.

These teenage girls Hawaiian bedding and comforter sets offer great value and eliminate the need to spend time shopping for bedroom curtains, sheets and the bed skirt separately. For the tween or teen girl that likes to change her bedroom’s décor at the drop of a hat, buying a bed in a bag may be the best way to go.

If you can find a girls Hawaiian bedding set that you like at a deep discount I’m certainly on board. To keep the room from looking like a copy of the pictures on the package that the comforter set came in, you should keep a watchful eye out for some unique, Hawaiian bedroom decorations to use to dress up the comforter set and window treatments that give the bedroom a personalized look.

Some ideas include replacing the bedskirt that came with your Hawaiian bed in a bag set with a fun and funky grass bed skirt. You can even buy raffia window toppers to match. Layer some floral leis over the top of your homemade valance to give it an authentic island look and your collection of hula girl figurines on the top of the cornice shelf and your Hawaiian bedroom décor will be so perfect that you can almost hear the waves splashing on the beach and the locals calling, Aloha! CHERRY BEDDING - BLOSSOMS and RED FRUITY FABRICS

Red, black and white are popular color schemes in lots of different bedding fabric patterns, but now I'm seeing black and white checks intermingled with lucious red cherries! Who would've ever dreamed that fruit print fabrics would migrate from kitchens to teen bedding? Any ideas on how to work with fruity teenage bedroom decorations?

Is the tropical headdress of the Copa Cabana coming back? Will we be decorating with bowls of bananas, grapes and cherries? Strange and just a little disturbing. I was always taught not to take food out of the kitchen!
