Iphone 5

If the image is really the iPhone 5′s digitizer, the iPhone 5 would finally be able to compete with other Android based smart phones, many of which already sport 4-inch screens. The next generation iPhone will have the next generation A5 processor, as well as a potential hybrid GSM/CDMA modem that will allows for the use of both GSM and CDMA network technologies on the same phone.

Unfortunately, current rumors are saying that the Apple may break their long standing routine of releasing the iPhone in June, rather releasing the next iPhone in September, possibly due to Design changes and a limitation of supplies to manufacture key components for the device.

As rumored, the iPhone 5 is going to address the issue on reception that most iPhone 4 users complained about. Aside from this, Apple has also been rumored to be on the process of developing a payment system that will make use of your iPhone to serve as some sort of a credit card in various stores and establishments – no need for additional phone attachment.

In fact, Apple hired the services of Benjamin Vigier, a known expert in the mobile payment industry. Benjamin Vigier has been known for using a technology called near field communication or NFC. Vigier is one of Apple’s Product Managers at present and basically he was assigned to handle Apple’s Mobile Commerce Division. Aside from Vigier, Apple has also hired the services of some phone engineers that are well-experienced in NFC and other similar mobile technologies.
With this actions being done by Apple, some believes that this only signifies that the next generation iPhone will be able to act as a payment method in stores just like certain phones in Japan which can be use for subway rides and vending machines.

According to some reliable source, Apple will be integrating this NFC technology using a hardware from NXP Semiconductor which is the market leader when it comes to NFC. These reliable sources also revealed that Apple has been making NFC-enabled iPhone prototype is also running some test related to mobile payments.

The iPhone 5 is anticipated to be released early next year and with the recent developments and researches being made by Apple, most likely the iPhone 5 will include the NFC technology. Apple is also planning to integrate NFC technology in its Apple TV and Mac books as well in order to transfer data between these devices at a high speed.

At this point it’s pretty obvious that Apple is preparing for this upcoming iPhone device, making sure that everything will be perfect. But the iPhone 5 is far way to go since it will still pass some more testing and pre-production stage before its final release.

Basically, the iPhone 5 will most likely offer something new with its mobile commerce as well as its short range wireless applications. This new technology combined with Apple’s hardware, software and platform strategy, will surely make the iPhone 5 to be a hit once it penetrates the market.
