In terms of design, Nokia E63 is quite similar to Nokia E71. It is slim and there will be no problem with fingerprints due to its good finishing. The phone’s body is of good quality plastic. Nokia E63’s keypad and navigation key are amazing. The keys are evenly spread out and it feels good when they are touched. Moreover, it is a delight to type for users whether they are right or left handed.
Nokia E63’s battery is exceptional and with an active use of the phone including WI-FI, music, sending and receiving texts, calling and use of flash as torch, it will last round about 40hours. The call quality is superb and voice clarity is a plus point. Nokia E63 also contains applications like currency converter, Real and Flash player, DOC and PDF reader along with a pre-installed zip option. The only negative aspect to the E63 is that there is no stop-watch or rockr key that is needed for volume control.
Speaking of display, the E63 boasts of 16M colors which provide excellent clarity and you should be able to see the screen easily even in broad daylight. The fonts are awesome as well and can be adjusted. The only letdown of Nokia E63 is the 2MP camera. Although it has a flash and self image mirror, the images fade out when taken in the dark; however, images taken in daylight are not so bad.
The music player deserves a round of applause but the quality of the ear phones is not up to the mark and would do well with some more finishing. Moreover, there is also a 3.5mm jack present which adds to the appeal of the Nokia E63.
Connectivity is made possible by the amazing GPRS and WI-FI options and it is really easy and hassle-free to browse through pages. However, the processor is the not the fastest in the world. Although it is sufficient enough to support all the features and functions the Nokia E63 has to offer, it will annoy users when they pore over text messages or change themes as it tends to get a bit slow.
